Ted feels right at home, Nancy needs convincing, but when Princess Buttons arrives, bent on revenge and armed with a Brain Zapper 3000, and their new friends step up to help, she changes her mind. It’s gloriously silly but still totally credible and a proper page turner, while Nancy and Ted are real characters. Watch out for the wonderful asides from woodlouse Eric Dynamite, and Princess Buttons’ comeuppance is an absolute treat!

It’s one of the greatest and funniest books I’ve ever read. I read it in one go because I couldn’t stop myself from cutting off all the laughter that it brings. Willow and Ted are my favourite characters. They are young and fully of merry-ness. Willow takes Ted on a tour of Grimwood and there are lots of funny lines. And I love the Fairybeast-o-meter. So funny and exciting, lots of shocks and laughs. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. Ted is lovable, Nancy loves coffee and Princess Buttons is fluffy and terrifying!
