Julia Rawlinson was born and grew up in London. She studied Geography at Southampton University, where she met her husband, Neil. She worked in a bank for a few years, and then decided to write children's stories. Julia is the author of several titles for Gullane Children's Books, including Ferdie and the Falling Leaves and the forthcoming title Ferdie's Christmas (September 2010). She lives in Kenilworth with her husband and two boys, Ben and Tom.
