As a little girl gets ready for bed, she is reminded that she isn't alone in her slumber—all creatures share a consciousness, dream, and connect through that shared experience. The story features rich and lovely rhymes that create a soothing rhythm perfect for winding down.
The illustrations by Ivan Sulima are absolutely stunning; the style is magical and moody, perfect for a night-time setting. My 2.5-year-old was captivated by the artwork, happily pointing out the different animals. It is a short read, but the message is strong, sweet, and occasionally funny. It’s a gentle way to teach children that animals have feelings and inner lives, just like us.
While my toddler loved it, I think this would be perfect for children up to 5 or 6 years old. Highly recommended for your bedtime rotation!
