This is a unique 17 page illustrated children's book. Pablo the polar bear likes to wear pants! No-one else wears pants and all the other animals tell him that polar bears don't wear pants. They can't understand him. He doesn't care. And just continues to wear pants. A strange thing happens. Eventually everyone else decides to try wearing pants themselves! But Pablo is already onto his next new phase. He is wearing a monocle!
This story is humorous and entertaining. Each page has a wonderfully simple, yet effective illustration and the words are written in a way that draws the reader in, eager to see what happens next. It's inspiring how Pablo carries on doing his own thing, unaffected by everyone else's opinion. The story is perfect for children from about 3 to 7 or 8 years old. The lesson to be learned is to trust yourself and follow your own direction in life.

This is a sweet little story about a polar bear who dares to be different.

Pablo the polar bear likes to wear pants even though everyone tells him “Polar Bears don’t wear pants”. Happy to march to the beat of his own drum, Pablo continued to wear his pants anyway and eventually the rest of the town decided to join in too.
This is a fun picture book with simple illustrations that show off Pablo’s bright and rather snazzy pants. Throughout it highlights individuality and celebrates the confidence to be yourself. The ending of the story continues this message even as the rest of the town join the pants bandwagon with a smart, funny closing line.
