Courage, kindness, and adventure abound in this charming, illustrated chapter book series! It's all paws on deck as Mona the mouse and Tilly the squirrel open a new branch of the Heartwood Hotel, but strange hauntings might disrupt their plans.
Mona the mouse is on a grand adventure to help run the Heartwood Maple, a new branch of the Heartwood Hotel. Mona and her good friend Tilly the squirrel are preparing to welcome their first guests amidst the coldest and windiest winter yet. The hearth is warm, the lobby is full, and Mona wants everything to go as perfectly as possible to earn the new branch a five-acorn review.
But now Mona is having memories of her parents, who were swept away in a storm long ago. And there's something else too: cleaning supplies start disappearing and strange sounds are being heard at night, sparking rumors of a ghost. Mona begins to worry. Is something haunting the new hotel?
The newest installment of the Heartwood Hotel chapter book series is another cozy adventure through an imaginative woodland, complete with charming black and white illustrations, comforting themes, and a classic feel.
