About five feet three in his high-heeled boots; plump figure; ruddy face with no suspicion of beard; bright gray eyes; curl ing chestnut hair; nose like a Seckel pear; and pursy little bud of a mouth, ready on the Shortest notice to blossom into a smile. How old? I give it up. If I Should say that he is twenty you would believe it; and if I Should put him down at forty you would not dispute it. He is one of those plump, fresh, cheery people who never grow old.
