John Kane Press Reviews

Silly and funny interactive call and response picture book. Highly recommended for noisy story-times with your little ones! -- Niamh Sharkey - Niamh Sharkey

I think it's brilliant. I love this book! Can't wait to share it with my grandchildren! -- Steve Smallman - Steve Smallman

'The third in a series, this clever call-and-response story will make nursery storytimes come alive. The disco colours, funky typography and eleven mentions of the word 'butt' will make this wildly fun and interactive picture book a hit with EYFS classes and younger children.' -- Tom Tolkien - School Reading List

I Say Oh, You Say No is deliciously silly and immensely cleverly crafted book which sets up a series of call and response rules with young readers to create a hilarious performative reading. Children and parents will absolutely love reading and participating in this joyous book. It's fantastic to read one-on-one as well as group storytime. But with all the excitement it induces, it probably wouldn't make the most calming bedtime story. The illustrations are simple and minimal within the book, but they play such an important part when combined with the hilarious text. -- BookTrust - BookTrust

'a bold, colourful book' 'it can keep the giggles going for at least half an hour' 'A definite thumbs-up from us!' 'ideal for small and daring children' -- Tom Tolkien - School Reading List
