"A fun, imaginative tale, full of unexpected characters!"
Available in Kindle, Hardcover and Paperback from Amazon.
A Feast for Pleasant Beasts by J.T. Bird is a fun, imaginative tale, full of unexpected characters! A boy called Cuthbert bakes delicious treats and organises a picnic for friendly and well-behaved beasts every year on the 7th day of the 7th month. This 41-page picture book presents the reader with a full page of text, followed by a beautiful drawing of the particular beast we have been introduced to. We meet Ingrid the troll, Balthazar the bog monster, Jim the giant, Mademoiselle Cyclops, Nelson the red devil, the Yeti, the Delgado sisters, a ginormous sausage dog, a Minotaur and a Sphinx. There are some amusing aspects to look out for in the detailed illustrations. We learn about the special talents the beasts have. We also learn something surprising about Cuthbert! I felt like I was at the picnic with them! I enjoyed this fun story, which teaches children how everyone is unique and can feel accepted and loved by his/her friends. It also reminds us of the importance of planning a fun occasion to spend time with one’s friends. As the story is quite detailed, I would recommend it for slightly older children, from about 6 years of age.

A wonderful bedtime story that will be enjoyed again and again.
A delightful, beautifully illustrated book featuring a number of interesting beasts and a boy called Cuthbert.
This book is sure to appeal to young children, especially some of the 'icky' details.
