Poems on Toast

Poems on Toast Synopsis

In this vibrant new collection of poems for KS2 Attie's vivid imagination and playful use of language rises to new levels. It's a collection that will inspire children to enjoy words and quirky juxtapositions, to laugh, to reflect, to wonder, and maybe even to write poetry themselves. Attie says: 'I hope these poems make you smile, laugh, remember, wonder, or feel seen.

Please read them aloud to see how they taste - they're poems on toast, after all! Attie Lime's poetry has been widely published online and in print magazines and anthologies. Her poems have been called joyful, witty, powerful and exuberant, with touchable themes.

She visits schools and festivals to share her love of words and particularly enjoys helping children to unlock their wonderful imaginations. Attie spent much of her childhood in Northumberland daydreaming in fields, which she still enjoys when she has time. Her three sons keep her busy and often inspire poems.

Poems on Toast is Attie's third solo collection of poetry for children.
