The Roll-Away Snowman

The Roll-Away Snowman Synopsis

A festive snowman chase that celebrates kindness and the magic of winter!

On a snowy winter's day, a playful wind sprite topples Marla Little's snowman and sends him rolling through the village.

"Shiver-dee-doo! Oh, shiver-dee-dee!"

Marla's refrain rings out at every corner-and little ones chant along every time. One neighbour after another lends a hand: the haberdasher pins on shiny buttons, the greengrocer offers a carrot nose, the milliner crowns him with a jaunty hat, the florist tucks in twiggy arms, and the knitters loop a cozy scarf around him. Then the wind sprite scatters her magical ice crystals and grants Marla a wish she'll never forget.

The Roll-Away Snowman is a rhyming winter picture book and bedtime story for kids ages 3-8-perfect for cozy storytimes, classroom read-alouds, and holiday gifts.

From multi-award-winning author Junia Wonders and illustrator Daniela Volpari comes Book 2 of The Roll-Away Series, following the fall favorite The Roll-Away Pumpkin. Ideal for families who love Sneezy the Snowman, How to Catch a Snowman, and Snowmen at Night.

Why families love The Roll-Away Snowman:

• A chant-along refrain in every scene-little ones join in by the second page
• Includes a fun glossary introducing old-world occupations-haberdasher, milliner, greengrocer
• A perfect Christmas and winter read-aloud for preschool and kindergarten
• Catchy rhymes and a joyful message about giving and looking out for one another
• Comic chaos in every spread as the snowman whooshes past the shops-a cat clinging to a flying ball of yarn, a dog sailing off surrounded by hats
• The chase begins in The Roll-Away Pumpkin-the perfect autumn companion
