From the smallest tractors – the illustration shows one in an orchard – to the really massive ones, ones that pull, push, lift and scoop, they’re all here illustrated across double pages. There’s even space for a look at the very first tractors, and we meet William’s carthorse, Brian, too. Collect the set with William Bee’s Wonderful Worlds of Trains and Trucks.

One of Our Books of the Year 2017 | If you love vehicles, then this is the book for you! William Bee shows off a multitude of amazing vehicles, starting with the steam engine, then trains, a hovercraft, the vertical-take-off-jump-jet, submarines and finally – of course – the space rocket. Pages are busy with super-bright graphics yet clearly laid out, one vehicle per spread, in a lovely large format. There’s lots to see on each page – the machines of course, but also there are logos, signs, directions to read and fun extras – friendly traffic cones, William’s dog, even a little rabbit. Useful lines of text accompany each illustration. ~ Andrea Reece

There’s lots of search-and-find fun to be had with little dog Migloo in his latest book. Sunnytown is a busy place especially at the weekend when its residents are out and about shopping, having breakfast, driving and enjoying themselves at the fair or the movies. Each spread is packed with characters and full of action. There’s a sprightly narrative but the real fun is to be had following Migloo and finding all the details hidden in the pictures – 25 ostriches for example! There are jokes just for adults too – I like the museum curators Monsieur Pompidou and Signor Uffizi. This is great fun for everyone in fact and bright enough to liven up the dullest winter day. ~ Andrea Reece
From the company that launched Where’s Wally comes this super new search-and-find storybook. Little dog Migloo leads readers through Sunnytown, and very bright and busy it is too. He visits the town square, the fire station, the garage and the school and each one is packed with characters and incident! You can spot Migloo’s friends, including Eric and Ernie the builders, and Mr and Mrs Dickens (he sells the books and she teaches with them, one of a number of nice extras for grown-ups) while author William Bee is himself a character in the book, popping up with a placard and questions relevant to each page! There’s a narrative to follow too involving the breakdown of the school bus. Lots of fun, this will keep children entertained and busy for hours. ~ Andrea Reece
