The Book of Stolen Dreams

The Book of Stolen Dreams is great. I think that anyone who loves to read should definitely read this book!

The Book of Stolen Dreams is great. This book is about a girl called Rachel Klein and her older brother, Robert. When their mother passes away and their father gets sent to prison, they are in big trouble. Before their father was sent to prison, he was hiding a very valuable book, called The Book of Stolen Dreams, from an evil president called Charles Malstain. This president wants to destroy the book and now it’s Rachel and Robert’s job to hide it. I like the poems of dreams that come after a few chapters. I think that anyone who loves to read should definitely read this book!

Dramatic, full of twists and turns and a determined main character - I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to any Year 5 and 6 children!

The Book of Stolen Dreams follows a girl who has a missing brother, a father in jail and a mother who has passed away. When visiting a city, she meets a man who takes her on an airship and despite her father's warnings about not trusting strangers, she still follows through with it. This turns out to be a bad decision when she ends up being kidnapped in exchange for some money. Rachel has no choice but to try and escape, but will she?

I really enjoyed the book because it was dramatic and always referred to the past, which gives the reader more information about Rachel. This helped us understand her as a character and to understand the story more. I liked that there were lots of twists and turns in the story and that the character never gave up, even when things looked bad.

I would recommend this book to people who like books that are a little bit scary and books that keep the reader guessing and on the edge of their seat. This book would be particularly good for Year 5 and 6 because it is a longer book and some of the vocabulary may be a bit tricky for younger readers. I would give it 4 and a half stars out of 5!

When I was reading this book I felt like I was in the adventure with Robert and Rachel, the main characters, and I didn't want to stop reading it. This book is great for anyone who likes mysteries and suspense, and it appeals to both boys and girls. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes an adventure and a good plot.

I love books that have a mystery to them so I was excited to start reading The Book of Stolen Dreams. I wasn't disappointed as it had me gripped from the start. The story is about a boy and a girl trying to find the missing last page of a mysterious book that they are given. This gets even more tense when the children's father is captured and they have to try and save him. I love the villain in the book, Charles Malstain, as his character makes you feel scared for the children and wondering what will happen if he catches them. When I was reading the book I felt like I was in the adventure with Rachel and Robert and I didn't want to stop reading it as after one event happened, you wanted to know what was going to happen next. It was good to be able to create your own magical world reading the story, and I read the whole thing in a few nights as I couldn't put it down! This book is great for anyone who like mysteries and suspense, and it appeals to both boys and girls as it has both a boy and a girl as it's main characters. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes an adventure and a good plot.

Fantastic book full of mysteries.

The Book of Stolen Dreams is a fantastic book full of mysteries. When Rachel and Robert Klien's father is prisoned under President Charles Malstain, he gives them a strange book and disappears. I really enjoyed reading this book as Rachel and Robert found out more about the book to rescue their Dad in prison. The book takes many turns as the suspense gets deeper. I love how detailed and fully explained everything really is. When I was reading this book, I was really curious to find out what the clever children's fate would be and how the story would finish. I would love to recommend this book to anyone interested in adventurous books with amazing storylines.

Farr has flown into the world of Children’s fiction with flying colours, with this book full of action and secrets, tyrants and spies.

This is an incredible tale set in the Capital of Krasnia, where evil is at work under the strict regime of Charles Malstain. Rachel and Robert must keep The Book of Stolen Dreams safe at all costs. When danger looms in the path ahead, they have no choice but to split up, and who knows, they may never see each other again.

This genre made it a great book for me because of the action and secrets, tyrants and spies. However, this book does involve certain areas which I feel may not be suitable for younger readers. Overall, I think Farr has flown into the world of Children’s fiction with flying colours!

An all-powerful book that can bring people back from dead - and causes more problems than it solves.

Imagine a book that can bring people back from the dead. Now imagine trying to keep that book safe whilst fleeing for your life from a dictatorship ruled by the President, a sinister figure who despite all his power cannot escape death.

Rachel and Robert’s mother is dead and their father is being held captive in a prison camp after he tried to steal The Book of Stolen Dreams to prevent the President using it to bring himself back from the dead. Now it’s left to his children to get the book to safety and find its missing last page.

This is an exciting and transporting adventure, but it has its sad moments - and the world the author depicts, with its political dictatorship, is very convincing - so it’s probably most suitable for children of about 9-14.

I would rate this book 4/5 because it is very gripping and has lots of twists. I really enjoyed reading it.
