Wie wir denken, so leben wir: As a Man Thinketh

Wie wir denken, so leben wir: As a Man Thinketh

Author: James Allen Narrator: Uwe Daufenbach Release Date: 01/08/2020

As A Man Thinketh“ (c) 2016 Published by arrangement with Günter W. Kienitz. (P) 2016 ABP Verlag

Think and Grow Rich, The Richest Man In Babylon, As a Man Thinketh, and The Science of Getting Rich:

Think and Grow Rich, The Richest Man In Babylon, As a Man Thinketh, and The Science of Getting Rich:

This exciting collection contains four of the most notable books on the topic of self help and motivation: Think and Grow Rich was written by Napoleon Hill in 1937 and promoted as a personal development and self-improvement book. He claimed to be inspired by a suggestion from business magnate and later-philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. While the book's title and much of the writing concerns increasing income, the author insists that his philosophy can help people succeed in any line of work, to do and be anything they can imagine. The Richest Man in Babylon is a 1926 book by George S. Clason that dispenses financial advice through a collection of parables set 4,000 years ago in ancient Babylon. The book is regarded as a classic of personal financial advice. As a Man Thinketh is a self-help book by James Allen, published in 1903. It was described by Allen as '... dealing with the power of thought, and particularly with the use and application of thought to happy and beautiful issues. I have tried to make the book simple, so that all can easily grasp and follow its teaching, and put into practice the methods which it advises.' It was also described by Allen as 'A book that will help you to help yourself', 'A pocket companion for thoughtful people', and 'A book on the power and right application of thought.'  The Science of Getting Rich is a book written by Wallace D. Wattles. According to USA Today, the text is 'divided into 17 short, straight-to-the-point chapters that explain how to overcome mental barriers, and how creation, rather than competition, is the hidden key to wealth attraction.' The Way Of Peace

Author: James Allen Narrator: James Allen Release Date: 01/12/2008

The Way of Peace is a New Thought book written by James Allen. Although Allen is more widely known for his As a Man Thinketh, it is the lesser known The Way of Peace (1907) which reflects more accurately his New Thought Movement affiliations, referencing as it does Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism. The book is essentially a treatise on the importance of meditation as a 'pathway to divinity'. Whatever we meditate upon, Allen explains, we become. Whereas if you meditate upon ' that which is pure and unselfish you will surely become pure and unselfish'. It is now in the public domain within the United States and most other countries. It has been released as a Project Gutenberg eText edition. The book consists of 7 chapters: The Power Of Meditation; The Two Masters, Self And Truth; The Acquirement of Spiritual Power; The Realisation of Selfless Love; Entering into the Infinite; Saints, Sages, And Saviors, The Law Of Service; and The Realisation of Perfect Peace. The first chapter also contains a poem, Star of Wisdom, which captures the essence of the book.

The Shining Gateway

The Shining Gateway

Author: James Allen Narrator: Isabella Decce Release Date: 01/04/2020

The Shining Gateway is a guide to meditation and the use of the power of positive thinking. Students of the works of James Allen all over the world will welcome with joy another book from his able pen. In this work we find the Prophet of Meditation in one of his deepest and yet most lucid expositions. How wonderfully he deals with fundamental principles! Here the reader will find no vague statement of generalities, for the writer enters with tender reverence into every detail of human experience. It is as though he came back to The Shining Gateway, and, standing there, he reviewed all the way up which his own feet have traveled, passing over no temptation that is common to man; knowing that the obstacles that barred his ascending pathway, or the clouds that at times obscured his vision, are the common experiences of all those who have set their faces towards the heights of Blessed Vision. As we read his words now, he seems to stand and beckon to us, saying, Come on, my fellow Pilgrims; it is straight ahead to the Shining Gateway; I have blazed the track for you. In sending forth this, another posthumous volume from his pen, we have no doubt but that it will help many and many an aspiring soul up to the heights, until at last they too stand within The Shining Gateway.
