The Quest Continues...
Meeting another builder had been one thing, but to learn there was a whole city out there was a bit much for Steve to swallow. As much as he hates to admit it, he’s nervous. For so many years he’s just been Steve, the only builder. Steve, the Hero.
What if he isn’t the only Hero out there? Worse still, what if no one needs him around at all? What if he gets to the new city and discovers he’s not at all special?
But as Alex and Steve make their way across the land, the two discover strange sights. Unsettling sights. It looks like the city isn’t the only new, alarming thing for Steve to uncover - someone else is walking among the wilds, and they’re looking to cause trouble.
It’s up to Steve and Alex to find a way to stop it.

Brian the Bear belongs to a little girl called Mia. One day she takes him to a garden party, but sadly he gets left behind and becomes lost in the woods. he is found first by a family of badgers, who look after him. Then he is picked up by a dog, and takento a new home. One day he is going over the hill to the next village with his new family. Hettie the dog is carrying him, but then she drops him when she goes off to chase a rabbit. Poor Brian is left overnight out in the snow. Next morning, Mia his original owner is walking over the hill with her family. Miraculously she hears Brian cry out as she walks past, sees him in the snow, and they are reunited. Mia and Brian then spend a very happy white Christmas with each other!
Fire is fascinating isn’t it? We love to watch fires, whether in a campfire, one in a backyard hearth, and in a house fireplace. We love to cook in it, use it to purify things, or even produce weapons.
Building fires is also a lot of fun. What a rush to start a fire from sticks and fire starters that you put together then watch it burn. And what about cooking “s’mores” as a dessert with your friends of family? There are also lots of methods to start a fire.
Fires also protect us from wild animals. Even the largest predator doesn’t want to go near a fire. They are scared of it—and for good reason.
There are also many legends of fire beings from the fire breathing dragon to the Phoenix which burns to death and is reborn out of the ashes.
Fires have also destroyed many cities in history as well as wild fires which can destroy huge areas of land and the properties on it. These fires led to the development of fire departments.
Cooking was first done on fires and is still done on many fires today. Thousands of years of recipes were all developed over open fires.
There is also poetry written about fire. I’ve included some near the end of the book.
Man’s climb from animals to modern humans is closely related to the usage of fire. We would probably not have survived through history without the command of fire.
