Siobhan Rowden was born in Scotland, and brought up in England. She comes from a large Irish family with four older brothers.
Siobhan spent time as a holiday rep in Greece and at Disney World in Florida before eventually studying English at Middlesex University. After graduating she worked for several years at a post production company in London. She then left paid employment to work even harder bringing up her three children. Becoming a mum inspired her to start writing for children. The Curse of the Bogle’s Beard is her first novel, and was published by Scholastic in May 2012. The sequel, The Revenge of the Ballybogs, is out in October 2012.
Siobhan currently lives in Hove with her husband and children.
