This year National Poetry Day (NPD) organised by the Forward Arts Foundation, are doing something different: they're partnering closely with the wonderful folks at Hot Poets, the UK's leading climate and literature organisation, and Michael Rosen, to bring poetry, climate science and creativity into classrooms across the UK.

This year's theme is Wonder

In partnership with Hot Poets and legendary poet Michael Rosen, NPD is sharing FREE classroom resources and poems, for all ages, ready to download and use right now.

These are extraordinary poems, bold ideas and activities that invite young people to wonder about the world they're inheriting.

Ocean plastic. Rewilding. Regenerative farming. Citizen science. Whales. Hedgerows. Small island nations. And so much more.

Poems by Christian Foley, Liv Torc, Vanessa Kisuule, Chris Redmond, Dizraeli, Abby Oliveira, Matt Harvey, Bohdan Piasecki and Testament. (And keep your eyes peeled for two more from Simon Mole and Kate Wakeling landing very soon!)

Download them all here – completely free!
