The story of the scaredy cat finding unexpected resources of courage to save the day is given a lovely – and literal – twist in this delightful picturebook. Miss Hazeltine takes in all shy and fearful cats, and works with them to help them become bolder. She gives lessons in Climbing Up, followed by Climbing Down, and even How Not to Fear the Broom.
Most timid of all is Crumb, but when Miss Hazeltine is in trouble, it’s Crumb who organises the rescue. Quirky and heart-warming, the story is given even more appeal by Birgitta Sif’s illustrations: mixing full page and vignette, she depicts Miss Hazeltine and her motley housemates in a range of droll actions and positions.
From Kate-Greenaway shortlisted illustrator Birgitta Sif and acclaimed new author, Alicia Potter, comes a tale with many tails, perfect for cat lovers everywhere! This book is full of scaredy cats.
