Picking Pickle

LoveReading4Kids Says

Has there ever been a book with a more adorable cast of characters? Meet the dogs of the dogs’ home, as introduced by the dog who’s been there longest and knows them best: there’s handsome Geraldo, enormous Harvey, bouncy Boo-Boo, clever Dumpling and little Dibble, who can round up anything.

Who would you choose? It’s obvious really: appearing on every page, with an irresistible air of enthusiasm, bouncing with generosity and good-humour, it has to be our guide, Pickle. Polly Faber’s text is a joy to read aloud and Clara Vulliamy’s illustrations are brim-full of canine charm. This book will steal your heart, just like Pickle!

About Picking Pickle

Take a guided tour of the dogs' home with one characterful canine - he's been there the longest and knows everyone, so he'll make sure you bring home the perfect companion. Will it be hungry Harvey, who eats everything? Or clever Dumpling, who can chew through the crossword in record time? Or sporty Boo-Boo, as bouncy as a ball? How about Poochy Petunia Wuffles-Winstanley, the poshest pet in the pound? Oh it's so hard to choose. What a pickle!
