"A book to encourage everyone to unleash their imagination"
March 2024 Book of the Month
With a lively rhyming text that will stand repeated readings and gorgeous illustrations from prize-winning illustrator Mariajo Ilustrajo, here’s a book to put paid to boredom!
It’s another day in the jungle and most of the animals are bored, in fact they’re ‘bored, bored, bored’. Artie the macaque isn’t though, he’s drawing, and what’s more, he’s making up a story starring all his friends. In the adventure he creates for them, they’re fighting dragons, robot sharks and even zombie hens!
They’re whooshing into space and enjoying an underwater disco. After sharing the story, everyone is happy, excited and laughing, and eager to make up their own adventures.
This book is great fun, every page full of humour and detail, and the animals are real characters. It’s also a wonderful way to encourage children to let their own imaginations soar. We all need this story!
A wonderful book about storytelling and the art of creativity with an inspiring rhyming text from James Harris (The Unbelievable Biscuit Factory) and beautiful, characterful illustrations from Mariajo Ilustrajo (Flooded).
