"Enter the imaginative world of two delightful young sisters."
November 2024 Book of the Month
Stella and Marigold are sisters and have been best friends since their very first meeting when Stella whispered to baby Marigold, ‘I’m going to tell you all the secret things I know. I will never tell them to anyone else, but I’ll tell them to you. Forever and ever.’
The little stories that follow describe, beautifully, small incidents in the girls’ lives, Marigold’s trip to the zoo, what happens when Stella is sick, the adventures they have when Mum is out away and Dad busy unblocking the drains in the garden.
Each one is filled with humour, warmth, sisterly love and perfectly realised insights into family life, this family’s and all families. Colour illustrations by Sophie Blackall add to the charm and this is a really lovely book to share.
