Gabe knows exactly how he feels and comes up with a plan to encourage Art out from his hiding places by quietly reading his favourite comic book to him. When the day arrives for Gabe to give his book report all that time chatting to Art pays off and he finds he can do it easily.
It’s a lovely story about the boost to confidence that comes from quiet talking and Ken Wilson-Max’s soft, warm, colour-saturated illustrations tell Alex Falase-Koya’s story perfectly. A lovely book for sharing, as useful and enjoyable as Tom Percival’s Big Bright Feelings books.
