Mini Rabbit and her mother are making a cake. Calamity strikes when they run out of berries and cake production must cease. Without waiting to listen to her mother, Mini dashes off on a mission to gather the essential ingredient. On the way, she travels through a variety of terrains, refusing all help in her single-minded pursuit. Will Mini find the fruit and her way home?
An authorial voice observes and comments on Mini’s progress while dialogue, including the oft repeated ‘cake’ and ‘berries’ takes place within the illustrations, several of which are in comic strip style.
