Best Value Colleges, 2020 Edition, The Synopsis

FOR FAMILIES WHO WANT THE MOST OUT OF THEIR TUITION

INVESTMENT! An updated edition of our guide to public and private schools that tells students and parents which schools offer the most value in return for their tuition dollars. The selection criteria for the 75 colleges in this book include: academics; cost of attendance; financial aid; and statistics on graduation rates, alumni salaries, and job satisfaction.

This edition features a new format and lower price! Sending a student to college is a major financial investment, and as the price tag per diploma goes up (averaging $45k for a year at a private college in 2017!), parents and students are increasingly focused on making sure that their money is well spent. In this updated edition of The Best Value Colleges, the experts at The Princeton Review select and profile 75 colleges that give you the best return on your investment: reasonable tuition and/or fantastic financial aid opportunities, academic excellence, and a great learning environment.

For example, while a year of tuition at Swarthmore College is over $45,000, the school is a great value, because students receive not only a top-quality education but also an average financial aid award of over $40,000. The Best Value Colleges is a resource that families can't afford to miss in this economic climate!
