Murray comes from a family of champion racehorses and dreams of winning trophies. But there’s a problem: he’s just not fast. The other horses laugh at him until one amazing day his dreams come true, though in a totally unexpected way! Murray’s unusual chorus-line-to-star story is told in rhyme, and rather brings to mind the comic monologues made famous by Stanley Holloway. The verse is certainly great fun to read aloud and will be fun for children to memorise too. Jolly black and white illustrations make this even more appealing. ~ Andrea Reece
