A healthy beach is home to many different grains of sand:
Some are ancient from a prehistoric meteorite,
while others traveled far from a Japanese fishing shore.
Within the sand are also extraordinary things, invisible to the eye.

As a shy child contemplates asking other kids to play at the beach, they at first feel as small and insignificant as a grain of sand. But soon they begin to imagine where each grain of sand comes from, and how they are shaped by the environments and communities they come from.

The child realizes that even the smallest particles are wholly unique and beautiful. Just like us.
