More great reads: the best books for 13 year olds
A teen story with an eerie difference, Eden knows everyone in the small Cornish community she has grown up in. But then a new boy appears at school. Ryan has an accent that is hard to place and some surprising gaps in his teen-knowledge but in all other ways, with his gorgeous looks and easy manners, he seems like an all American boy.
But as Eden falls in love with him, she discovers that Ryan is far more of a stranger than she had ever imagined….Helen Douglas uses the Cornish landscape and especially the night skies to great effect in this engaging and romantic story. ~ Julia Eccleshare
When mysterious new boy Ryan Westland shows up at her school Eden Anfield is intrigued. On the face of it, he's a typical American teenager. So how come he doesn't recognise pizza and hasn't heard of Hitler?
