The stealthy Nighthawk spirals out of control after a collision with a rogue cargo plane called Albert. She wants revenge! But is this the Flying Circus way? Albert's presence has closed airports putting Woody in a perilous position during a fundraising flight. Albert is unpopular but can he earn redemption?

An idyllic country fair is reduced to mayhem by an impulsive low flypast from the F-14 Tomcat. He tries to avoid acknowledging the impact his inner turmoil has on others by flying extremely high. Can he understand that people need to feel heard and acknowledged before they can forgive? Can Vul overcome debilitating age-related self-doubt about his worthiness and fulfil a critical role as air ambulance? He can, once he realises worth is not contingent on perfection.

In the final story, Woody, the little biplane, finds the remains of a Roman town on a site where a new runway is to be built. The camaraderie of his friends helps him stand up to an unpleasant band of construction vehicles. Through sticking to his principles, Woody leaves a legacy.
