Laura Hughes is an award-winning, and best-selling illustrator of picture books for children. Laura is passionate about picture books and has illustrated many titles including Witch Cat by Lucy Rowland, The Forgettery written by Rachel Ip, and We’re Going on an Egg Hunt by Martha Mumford.
There’s a Pig Up My Nose, written by John Dougherty was the winner of Oscar’s Book Prize 2018, an annual award for the best book for children aged under five.
Laura’s illustrations are loose, energetic and inspired by the natural world. She creates her hand-drawn illustrations using inks, gouache paint, and pastels.
Laura studied illustration at Kingston University and graduated in 2005.
