I have watched some of Paul O'Grady's animal programmes so I was excited when I saw this book by him. It's a great story about a boy called Eddie who can talk to animals. Along with his other pets, they get into an exciting adventure. I really couldn't put the book down!
I love animals and have watched some of Paul O'Grady's programmes so I was excited when I saw this book by him. It's a great story about a boy called Eddie who can talk to animals. He has a dog who he can talk to and along with his other pets, they get into an adventure which is funny and gripping at the same time. There is a villain in the book who Eddie and his Aunt have to defeat and it's great that there are plenty of laughs as well as a brilliant storyline. I really wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next and couldn't put the book down! You will love this book if you love animals and enjoy a good adventure story, along with comedy. I hope Paul O'Grady does more books like this.
A crazy adventure for a boy who can talk to animals!
A boy called Eddie can somehow talk to and heal animals. He ends up staying with his Auntie in Amsterdam with his pet dog, two hamsters and two goldfish! They have to rescue an orangutan and it all gets a bit wild!
My favourite part is when Eddie meets a parrot and the parrot rips the hair off a mean woman called Vera. It was so funny. All of the bits with him talking to the animals are funny and I think it would be cool to be able to have a chat with animals.
This is a good book for boys and girls who might like animals, or who like fun adventure books.
