The Worst Show Ever

5 stars - a hilarious book that made me laugh out loud whilst reading. Once started, I couldn’t put the book down until I’d finished it!

5 stars! Disaster Diaries Worst Show Ever is another really funny book from the author of the Worst Class in the World series.
It is written in the perspective of an 8 year old called Daffodil. She is trying to win a talent competition (Battle of the Talents) to get £25, her photo in the local paper and to become “world famous”.
She tries her best but will she be crowned champion?
I’d recommend this book to lovers of the Worst Class in the World series and Diary of the Wimpy Kid series.
I hope more books in the series will come out!

The latest installment of the Disaster Diaries, The Worst Show Ever is a fun read about Daffodil's attempts to win the village talent show...what could go wrong?!

Part of the Disaster Diaries series, The Worst Show Ever is the latest installment. A hilarious read full of jokes, the story is about a girl called Daffodil who is trying to win the village talent show by playing the trombone while hanging upside down, so she can win £25 and become world famous (or at least get her picture in the local newspaper).

Daffodil is part of a huge family all living squished together in a small house, where she is mostly ignored. And when she isn't being ignored, she is being told off!

I felt that the book was funny, but Daffodil is written as though she had bad grammar, so when the author is writing as Daffodil, it can be hard to follow.

I've given The Worst Show Ever 4 stars because I found Daffodil's bits amusing but confusing.
