Franjo Terhart wurde 1954 in Essen geboren. Zunächst als Latein- und Philosophielehrer sowie als Dozent für Literatur in Philosophie an der Volkshochschule tätig, arbeitete er später als Rundfunkjournalist beim WDR und schrieb für mehrere Zeitungen (z.B. NRZ, Neue Ruhr Zeitung). Seit 1991 ist er als freier Kulturbeauftragter der niederrheinischen Stadt Neukirchen-Vluyn tätig. Franjo Terhart schrieb mehrere Sachbücher und Romane.
