Brought to us by mother and daughter duo, award-winning novelist Sally Gardner, with glowing full colour illustrations by Lydia CorryThe Tindims is an empowering conservation series for 5-8 year olds with a powerful message about the importance of recycling and looking after our planet.

Printed in dyslexia-friendly font with pictures on every page and perfect for the reluctant reader, this gorgeous set of books introduces us to the utterly delightful little Tindims who, like the Borrowers, make their home out of things we humans – or Long Legs as they know us – throw away. Sally Gardner has a unique imagination and a special ability to create fresh, sparkling fairy tales for today which are as full of adventure as they are charm.

The series begins with The Tindims of Rubbish Island which tells of the adventure had when Captain Spoons, Mug, Jug, Brew, Skittle and friends are busy recycling and Ethel B Dina is blown out to sea. The Tindims must launch a rescue operation with the help of some friendly fish and surprises along the way.

In The Tindims and the Turtle Tangle Bottle Mountain grows so terrifyingly tall with rubbish that one night it breaks away. Across the ocean, a boy discovers Bottle Mountain bobbing by the seashore and for the first time ever the Tindims are discovered and get to meet the Long Legs and Little Legs.

In The Tindims and the Ten Green Bottles Ethel B Dina, who looks after the fish hospital and loves to sing, needs ten green, glass bottles to complete her musical Bottleramma. But who can help when the plastic bottles she is surrounded by do not make music?

The Tindims and the Floating Moon sees so much grumpy Gupper fog swirling all over Rubbish Island that the Tindims can barely see each other. Meanwhile, their world is turned upside down as Ethel B Dina thinks the moon has fallen into the sea!

The latest instalment The Tindims of Rubbish Island and the Spooky Secret is a spooktacular story of a young witch who casts a spell and shrinks herself by mistake. Everyone is in for a shock when, along with her best friend, a little ghost, they find themselves on Rubbish Island with the Tindims. The gang are soon helping their spooky new friends get back to the right size and home in time for their Halloween parade.
