Author: Sally Gardner Format: Paperback / softback Release Date: 04/02/2021

The tiny Tindims are like the Borrowers-on-Sea, who turn our everyday rubbish into treasure. Mother-and-daughter duo, prizewinning Sally Gardner and Lydia Corry, create a fun world of characters and adventures in their empowering new series for 5-8 year olds inspiring conservation and inventive ways to recycle. On the Tindims' island home, Bottle Mountain is growing terrifyingly tall with rubbish. So tall that one night it breaks away. Across the ocean, a boy discovers Bottle Mountain bobbing by the seashore. For the first time ever the Tindims are discovered and get to meet the Long Legs and Little Legs. Can the Tindims and the humans help each other to save the planet? Printed in dyslexia-friendly font with pictures on every page and perfect for the reluctant reader, the Tindims show keen young ecologists how to help protect our planet for the future.

Eight Princesses and a Magic Mirror

Eight Princesses and a Magic Mirror

Author: Natasha Farrant Format: Hardback Release Date: 05/09/2019

Guardian Books of the Year 2019. Here are eight princesses for the Rebel Girls generation: bold, empowered, full of curiosity, adventure and determined to be true to themselves. Natasha Farrant's original stories are set in different times all around the world, blending modern and traditional storytelling with glowing full colour illustrations by debut artist Lydia Corry in a glorious gift book. 'Mirror, mirror on the wall... what makes a princess excellent?' An enchantress flings her magic mirror into our universe. Reflected in it are princesses who refuse to be pretty, polite or obedient. Through the centuries and around the world these girls are fierce, brave, and determined to do the rescuing themselves. The desert princess protects her people from the king with the black and gold banner. The forest princess takes a crocodile for a pet. An island princess explores the high seas. A mountain princess puts kindness above being royal. And in a tower-block in a city, Princess saves her community garden from the hands of urban developers.
