Tufty, Mufty, Rusty, Misty and Rag promise their mother that they won’t leave the den when she goes out to get them a nice juicy chicken for their supper. First they wait and wait but then waiting gets boring and all five naughty fox cubs slip out of the fox hole to frolick in the moonlight. But what starts out as fun soon becomes scary when one little fox cub goes missing.
Luckily, there’s help on hand – from a most unexpected quarter. Maybe the little foxes won’t have chicken for supper after all…A touching story, full of surprise.
Mummy Fox goes out in search of some chicken for supper and leaves her five little fox cubs at home. But when Mummy's away, little foxes will play and, before long, the mischievous cubs have disobeyed their mother, wandered out into the dark night and lost their way. When the eldest cub does a headcount, she can only see four other cubs - and she knows there ought to be five.
