After the postman delivers their invitation to a wedding, Clara and her brother Ollie begin careful preparations. Clara imagines what the bride might wear, and might have worn in the past, but disaster strikes the night before the big event! Can Ollie and his inventions - and a visit to the haberdashery - save the day?

Amy de la Haye is a Rootstein Hopkins Professor of Dress History and Curatorship at London College of Fashion. She is the author of Chanel: Couture and Industry (V&A, 2011) and the A to Z of Style (V&A, 2011).
Emily Sutton graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a degree in illustration. As well as illustrating picture books, she paints, sculpts and designs prints.
