We’re all familiar with the nursery rhyme The Wheels on the Bus and this interactive reimagining is super fun for all to sing along to. Winner of the 2021 BookTrust Storytime Prize, The Whales on the Bus was voted in because of how families and young children responded to the book.
The two whales squeeze into the bus with a goldfish as the bus driver. Then a new animal and vehicle is introduced in each double page spread. Tiger in a glider? Sheep in a jeep? Dragon in a wagon?
With Nick Sharratt’s award-winning colourful illustrations, accompanying the new rhymes and tongue twisters, it’s a great book for all the family.

'This charming picture book has reimagined the classic nursery rhyme with brilliant results' - BookTrust's Great Books Guide 2021
'I HAD to get my hands on this. My daughter is 18 months old and she absolutely loves Car, Car, Truck, Jeep, so I couldn't wait to read this one to her. She loves it. It's a brilliant and funny reimagining of a classic nursery rhyme ... The rhyme is easy to follow and funny, and as always the illustrations are great. Big, bright and bold colours and drawings that compliment the book well. I loved it and she loved it' - NetGalley reviewer
'Just like Car, Car, Truck, Jeep this book is a lot of fun to read aloud! My children joined in from the second line of each page and loved laughing at all the crazy scenarios ... Sharratt's artwork is bright and bold with his signature style. The story has a gentle, sleepy feel to the last two pages, making this story perfect for before bed, or as a pre nap-time read at home or nursery. We loved this story and would definitely recommend it' - NetGalley reviewer
