"Little Mirabelle works her magic in a fun new story"
A school trip to a magical-creature sanctuary offers all sorts of opportunities for Mirabelle to have fun and get into trouble too. Half witch, half fairy and totally mischievous, Mirabelle finds it hard to be good, especially when she’s with her best friend Carlotta. Their no-nonsense teacher Miss Spindlewick is wise to the danger though and partners Mirabelle with teacher’s pet Lavinia for their trip.
Surprisingly, it turns out to be a really fun day. Mirabelle gets to see the bittens (baby bat cats) as she wanted and though she does get into a scrape, she gets out of it with Lavinia’s help.
When it’s time to go home, Mirabelle has learned something about herself, made a new friend, and even taught Lavinia something too. These appealing stories are full of fun and incident and new readers will love Mirabelle’s storytelling style. And who could resist those cute little bittens?
Mirabelle's mum is a witch, her dad is a fairy, and she is a bit of both! Mirabelle and her class are going on a school trip to a magical-creature sanctuary, and Mirabelle can't wait! Even being partnered with annoying goody-two-shoes Lavinia can't ruin her day. But when she accidentally lets the bittens (part bat, part kitten, totally adorable, slightly fierce) out of their enclosure their day becomes a bit more complicated.
