"A soaring adventure story full of myth, magic and surprises"
Set on Anglesey in 1870, this story is as wild and beautiful as the island’s coasts and mountain views. Wren lives with her father, younger brother and aunt in an ancient castle and dreams of flight. She longs to escape from her father’s disapproval and to emulate her daredevil mother, who built and launched her own flying machine.
As Wren pursues her dreams, she discovers more about her family’s dark secrets and the cause of the tremors that shake her home so often. Druids, Welsh choirs and mythical beasts all have their part to play. Like her protagonist, Lucy Hope has an imagination ‘as vast as Snowdonia’ and she lets it soar in a story that will enthrall and uplift readers.
Let your imagination soar in this dark, gothic adventure set on the island of Anglesey in North Wales and featuring a very fantastical beast.
