This new series will absolutely delight young horse and pony lovers. This opening story stars Summer whose dream has always been to ride a pony. She didn’t think it could ever come true, but then she makes friends with Jessie, who introduces her to Starlight Stables. Summer is in heaven, learning to groom, muck out and saddle the ponies, and getting to ride them too.
The camaraderie of the stables and the sheer joy she experiences there help her come to terms with the fact that her parents are splitting up, and we know she’s made friends for life. There’s drama when Summer’s favourite pony is stolen, but the newly formed Starlight Stables Gang are determined to get Luna back, and they do.
A satisfying mix of friendship, adventure and ponies, it’s a great read and lots of fun. Pony perfection for young readers!
