Weird Street is a terrific little four book series that will get 6-9 year old boys (in particular) and girls really reading and enjoying it. Weird Street is on Johnny's paper round, a bizarre, scary and extremely unusual paper round, where he meets and befriends a whole range of oddballs and mysterious neighbours. The books are wonderfully imaginative and best of all, particularly for the reluctant reader, quite short.

The paper boys on Weir Street don't normally stick around for long and Jonny soon understands why. It's definitely weirder than your average street. Who is the strange figure standing in the window of number 13? Is that a parrot on his shoulder? Jonny strikes up an unusual friendship with Captain Cross-eyed and even helps him to feel like a pirate that his sea-faring ancestors would be proud of!
