Within this snuggly bedtime story there is an excellent introduction to looking at nature. It is Cub’s first winter and he wants to learn everything he can about it. Mum gives him lyrical answers to his many questions as she leads through an increasingly snowy and icy landscape before they scamper home just in time to tuck up safe and warm.
Rebecca Elliott hosts a fantastic exhibition of her work!
Rebecca Elliott is hosting a fantastic exhibition of her work alongside fellow children’s illustrator Cee Biscoe in October this year. The exhibition will consist of a comfy reading corner with her books out this year (Just Because , Milo’s Pet Egg and Cub’s First Winter) along with exciting activities for children, including free colouring sheets and readings. Rebecca will also be selling prints and signed copies of her books. The exhibit runs at Gallery 24 in Sudbury, Suffolk, from Friday 22nd October to Wednesday 27th October.
Finally, if you're in or near Bury St Edmonds on Thursday 19th August why not join Rebecca Elliott in some picture book fun at 11am at Waterstone's in The Arc Shopping Centre. Your toddlers will love it. She'll also be signing copies of her picture books.
Children will be captivated by this heart-warming storybook about an inquisitive young fox cub. The elements of winter are explained, from the reason his friends are asleep, to why it's cold. Each scenic page is beautifully illustrated to depict the cub's wonderment of winter. The soothing words alongside the soft illustrations will ensure that this bedtime read will be picked up again and again.
