Full of hope and joy, this is an inspiring picture book with beautiful illustrations that will encourage all children to believe that their biggest and boldest dreams can come true. Small is a small child living in a small house, sleeping on a small bed. But being small has never stopped her from having BIG dreams…Small knows that the world is huge and exciting and full of opportunities. In her dreams she believes that she can be part of that world but she also knows that everyone will try to stop her so she sits on them, stamps on them and swallows them. But one day the dreams get too big…They escape and soon Small is the amazing explorer she has always hoped to be.

A truly delightful read

Amanda Quartey has used a beautiful palette of colours in this book to suggest exploring moods, feelings and dreams. Some great places in the text for interaction from the emerging readers too when they can shout out "Small!" and "Head down and feet on the ground!" Manjeet Mann gives a wonderful lesson about not giving up on your dreams; it's truly a delightful read.... Read Full Review

A beautiful, brightly illustrated story about a small girl with dreams so big they just won't go away!

Ethan loved the story of the Small girl with her Big dreams! He was captivated by the beautiful, brightly coloured illustrations and all the rainbows. His favourite part was when Small's dreams take her into outer space and she meets other people with Big dreams, like her! The book provoked interesting discussions about what Ethan's dreams were and how he might go about following his dreams, now and in the future.... Read Full Review
