About
Kitty and the Woodland Wildcat Synopsis
Kitty is a superhero-in-training with cat-like superpowers. She dreams of being just like her superhero mum one day, but she's still got a lot to learn. Join her for a series of enchanting adventures by the light of the moon with her faithful cat crew by her side. Kitty is on a camping holiday with her friend Ozzy.
Just like Kitty, Ozzy is a superhero-in-training with owl-like superpowers. During their stay in Whitefern Wood, they meet a wary wildcat, desperately looking for her lost kittens. The trouble is, she doesn't trust humans at all. Kitty must earn her trust and then prove her worth as a superhero in training, by finding the kittens and saving the day.
Kitty and the Woodland Wildcat is the ninth book in the Kitty series, featuring a charming main character, cat-packed exploits, and striking two-colour art on every page.

About Paula Harrison
Paula Harrison began inventing stories and writing them down as a child. One of her best was about a magical land inhabited by talking bookworms. After taking an English degree, she became a primary school teacher and is now married with two children. She loves inspiring children's imaginations and believes that day-dreaming can be a really good use of your time (although she hasn't actually said that during a lesson). Over the years, she's shared many different authors' books with children, and now she can't wait to share her own.
Paula says: “The beginnings of the idea for The Rescue Princesses came when I watched my daughters playing. They were racing around the garden pretending to be Princesses who could go anywhere and do anything they liked. That set me thinking: in a world where anything is possible, Princesses won’t be sitting around on thrones. They’ll be out there, proving they’re better than the Princes!”
Paula Harrison is the author of Red Moon Rising (for older readers) and The Rescue Princesses (a younger series). She wanted to be a writer from a young age but spent many happy years being a primary school teacher first. She finds inspiration in lots of things from cloud shapes to snippets of conversation. She loves sandy beaches and eating popcorn. She lives with her husband and children in Buckinghamshire, which is nowhere near the sea. Whenever possible, she packs her family into the car and journeys far and wide to find a sandy beach where she can paddle in the waves.
