"Sweet but not saccharine and singsong but not forced, Martin's text is one that will invite re-readings as it affirms parental wishes for children while admirably keeping child readers at its heart." - Kirkus reviews

"I LOVE this book. I've bought this book several times for friends who have had children and now I have it for my own son. Every time I read it, it brings a tear to my eye. The sentiment behind the book is beautiful, the illustrations are lovely, and I can't wait until my son is able to look at it with me." - a 5-star review
