Three good friends have an air-raising adventure in this joyful cartoon strip story.
Blue and Barry are enjoying a quiet day when their friend Pancakes bursts in eager to play and to show off her balloon rocket ship. A quick tour turns into a trip to planet Balloonia where a slight accident with the steery thing leaves them stranded.
You wouldn’t think it could get much worse, but the three are soon forced to do battle in a playpen and then swallowed by the giant Balloon Kong.
It’s gloriously silly, a palette of the brightest, boldest greens, pinks, yellows and purples adding to the sense of creative chaos, but it all ends happily, the three back on Earth and with a consensus that quiet play is good too.
Young readers will love diving into this ball pool which offers out of this world, no holds barred action, all within the reassuring comfort of a fully established friendship.
