Scott Summers tries hard to be a leader. But being the glue keeping the X-Men together is a tough ask. Despite Scott's best efforts, the team of young mutant heroes continues to fail their training missions and devolve into childish arguments. And when a new student arrives at the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters, recruited without Scott's knowledge, tensions rise to an all-time high.

Kurt Wagner knows he's different . . . even moreso than his mutant peers. With his blue fur, glowing eyes, and prehensile tail, Kurt is undeniably weird. Despite this, he hoped to finally find acceptance among his fellow students at Professor Xavier's academy. But when he's accused of pulling the cruel pranks and acts of petty thievery that suddenly break out across the school grounds, Kurt is ostracized once again.
