Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Tempest of Sonam

Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Tempest of Sonam Synopsis

In a time before the Four Nations existed, a young Avatar Sonam must step unwillingly into the spotlight and face down a catastrophic threat.

Thousands of years before Aang's time, benders are not divided by nation but thriving in a world of many different tribes. It is the golden age of the Air Nomads, and one of their own is the current Avatar: Sonam.

At only seventeen, Sonam is already an accomplished warrior and revered heroine, known for protecting the innocent from raiders. Though her noble mission and charisma have won her many devotees, she dislikes the attention. She won't even let rising feelings between her and her loyal companion, the wayward Prince Fulung of Ba Sing Se, get in the way of her work.

But a larger conflict rises in the form of the Four Pillars, a powerful organization cloaked in secrecy. While the Pillars claim to want peace, their actions speak differently, tearing clans and families apart. Worse still, they employ a dangerous Firebender named Asiong, who will seemingly stop at nothing to achieve the group's goals.

Fulung sees the merit in the Four Pillars' vision, but Sonam isn't so sure. And when they learn that Asiong has a special interest in tracking down those who practice Energybending-a lost art with untold power to either heal or harm-Sonam knows she cannot stand idly by. She must choose her path carefully to do right by the people relying on her . . . regardless of what that decision may cost her.
