'Rico and Nick make a great team!' Jacqueline Wilson ----- An empowering and authentic football story by junior Premier League footballer Rico Hinson-King, illustrated by the beloved Nick Sharratt about bravery, teamwork and making sure EVERYONE is included.. ----- Charlie LOVES to play football. In fact, it is his life. He practises at every opportunity - morning, noon and night - and eventually, all his hard work pays off when he's offered a spot on a Junior Premier League football team.
It's a dream come true … and he soon becomes their top scorer! However, things on his school football team aren't going so well. One boy, Gavin, has been leaving Charlie and other friends out during football, just because they are different from him.
But Charlie is bold and brave and decides that he can't stand for this … so he comes up with a plan to start a team where EVERYBODY is welcome. Football is for Everyone is by amazingly talented 12-year-old Rico Hinson-King. Rico, like Charlie, is a footballer who has a knack for words too, and draws on his own experiences to create this inclusive, positive story of welcome and courage.
