Truman Toad and the Quest for the Perfect Snack

Truman Toad and the Quest for the Perfect Snack Synopsis

From the award-winning dream team of Oren Lavie and Anke Kuhl, this new story about the beloved toad Truman makes for a fun and delightful reading experience that celebrates friendship and family and their special, delicious ingredient--love

One morning, Truman Toad is awakened by an extraordinary pang of hunger. He's been dreaming of an insanely delicious toast--no, not an avocado toast but a fly toast! But-there's a catch: his best friend, Freddy, is a fly! Eating Freddy would mean putting their friendship in serious jeopardy, or, well, worse.

Does poor Truman have to resort to porridge yet again for his snack? He detests porridge. No, he just can't do it! And so Truman decides to go search for a different delicious meal--neither fly nor porridge! Yet his friends have nothing but dry leaves, grilled garbage, straw spaghetti, or even--horse droppings--on their menus to offer him.

Faint with hunger, Truman is eventually rescued by a mouse, who brings him home, and there Truman is served the most delicious porridge in the entire world. Is there a secret ingredient? Of course there is!
