In The Cosmic Carrot, a young boy, Mitch, gets back on track to vibrant health and clear vision with the help of friends and a dedicated eye doctor. Robert Grand’s debut picture book combines its engaging narrative with rhyming verses and beautiful ink and water color illustrations. Parents appreciate their children learning powerful life lessons about resilience as Mitch conquers his need for thick glasses with orthokeratology, a non-surgical procedure to improve his vision recommended by his eye doctor.
In addition, Mitch learns about the power of organic fruits and vegetables to calm his allergic sensitivities, which fosters awareness of the benefits of good eating habits and clear distance vision in young readers.
